Synchronicity

I love using synchronicity as a guide to affirm the direction my intuition is pointing me. This is happening most recently with my trip to Europe. I simply felt called to France. All of a sudden France keeps popping up everywhere. Playing now with the balance of action and surrender as I co-create my getaway.

Basics On Training Your Empathic Abilities

Psychic Advice

There are three major forms of psychic abilities: clairvoyance, which in French means “clear seeing” and involves seeing psychic visions; clairaudience, which is hearing psychic messages; and clairsentience, or empathy, which is receiving psychic feelings or impressions. Empathy is the easiest form of psychic information to receive, but it is the hardest to define, because you must be clear about whether what you are feeling is yours, or if you are picking it up from someone, from someplace, or from something else.

People who are empathic are very sensitive to everything and everyone around them, and have often been told that they are “too sensitive”, particularly throughout their childhood. Empaths are heartful, caring, kind people who want to please and make other people happy, and often tend to do volunteer work, or to work in service to others in some way. Empaths can have a tendency to be overweight, particularly in childhood, because they use their weight as a type of shield to protect themselves from other people’s energies.

Empathic people can be “psychic sponges”, picking up and absorbing energy everywhere they go, which is why it is very important for empaths to have strong boundaries of protection. It is absolutely essential for those who are empathic to envision a bubble of white light around them at all times as a psychic shield.

For those who are extremely sensitive, it is even better to imagine layers of boundaries like a rainbow surrounding them, beginning with a layer of red around the body, then a layer of orange surrounding that, then yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, and finally a thick layer of white light surrounding all the layers. Those who can be highly emotional may also want to put these rainbow layers around their heart, because empaths tend to experience the world through their heart, which can be challenging and painful.

Empathically sensitive people must be very diligent in cleansing themselves of other people’s energies. One can release energy by using an affirmation such as:

“I am willing to work with all that is mine, and I release all that is not mine”.

It can also be helpful to affirm:

“I am willing to receive all that is for the highest good of all for me to know, and I am protected from all else”.

This will create a filter, so you will only receive information that is important for you to know and act upon.

You can use meditation and visualization for cleansing yourself energetically. You can visualize the doorway to your home and office as a shower of light that washes away all negative energy from all those who pass through it. You can also release negative energies by washing your hands in cold water up to your elbow, or standing barefoot in the grass. Whenever you take a shower, you can envision all negative energy being cleansed from you.

Meditation can also be very helpful for getting centered within yourself and getting to know what is going on within you. The most challenging thing about developing and honing empathic abilities is learning to discern between what feelings, sensations and emotions are yours, and what belongs to someone or something else.

Before you leave your home, take a moment to check in with yourself to determine how you are feeling. Then get a sense of what you feel inside you as you encounter different people and places throughout your day. If you meet a person or a group of people and find yourself feeling suddenly angry, depressed, sad, or agitated, or even having a sudden headache, tension or other aches and pains, then you may be absorbing energy and emotions from others. Ask yourself, “Is this mine?” to determine whether what you are feeling is yours or not.

Always watch out for sudden shifts in your mood or emotions. If you enter a place and suddenly feel tense, uneasy, gloomy, or even frightened, or if you get physical sensations such as chills, gooseflesh, or dizziness, then you are picking up energies from what has transpired there. Places and things absorb energy from the experiences they have “witnessed”, and therefore hold a historic record of significant emotional events. Empaths especially need protection in emotional places, like funerals, cemeteries, haunted buildings, crime scenes, etc. Empaths or clairvoyants can intuitively read the energetic impressions that have embedded themselves in a particular place or thing using the psychic gift of psychometry, which is often employed by psychic detectives.

One of the ways for an empath to read psychic energy is through the hands. Psychometry involves touching an object or photograph to pick up on psychic impressions, which can come in the form of certain feelings, emotions, sensations, visions or quick flashes. Empathic people can also use their hands to read energy from people, making them outstanding healers, nurses, doctors and massage therapists. Empaths can feel when and where energy is flowing harmoniously or inharmoniously, and how to correct and balance it in people, and even in places. Empathic people are also excellent at real estate, interior design, and Feng Shui, because they can pick up on what other people want and need, and what makes others happy or uncomfortable – so they are also ideal matchmakers!

Trust is always key to developing intuition. You must learn to pay attention to the feelings and impressions that you receive wherever you go. You may have a feeling that you don’t want to go into a certain place, or you don’t want to connect with a certain person – always trust that those feelings are there for a reason, whether it makes rational sense to you or not. Remember that intuition does not come from the rational side of the brain, it comes from a place of higher knowing that is meant to guide you and keep you safe, so allow yourself to always trust what you feel.

How Intuitive Are You?

Just a fun quiz :o)

SG x

You will see things. Feel things. Know things. Those that are trying to hide it, will deny it. Trust your gut. You know the truth.

Ever wonder how intuitive are you? Are you someone who goes by the book relying solely on logic or do you follow your hunches and go with your gut feelings?

Well, this quiz may not be as magical as the “Which Harry Potter Character Are You?” quiz but it’s way more beneficial, exciting, and will give you a quick glimpse of how you make decisions in your everyday life.

There are 4 levels of intuition. Level 1 is your warning system, level 2 revolves around your social intuition, level 3 is your creative intuition, and level 4 is higher purpose intuition. After you’ve done the quiz, there’s a full explanation of each of the 4 levels. You’ll discover what level of intuition you’re currently at – and if you’re below Level 4 – what you can aspire to be when you reach higher levels above you.

It’s a quick quiz and after you’re done, drop a comment and share your thoughts and how did you score. Don’t worry, this isn’t a competition ;)

Can’t wait to read your comments. (I scored a 48). Got some room for imporovement :-)

The Intuition Quiz:

Answer options. Write down your answers and tally up your points at the end of the quiz.

  1. Never (1 point)
  2. Sometimes (2 points)
  3. Often (3 points)

1.) You are more of a spontaneous and ‘go with the flow’ type of individual, rather than a planner or an organizer.

2.) You evaluate your decisions on certain situations based on your gut feelings, which often produces the right outcome even if it’s not always practical or logical.

3.) When you meet someone new, you get instant strong negative/positive vibes, which proves itself true in the long run.

4.) You have used your intuition to successfully invest in the stock market or enter contests and win.

5.) You know your life purpose or mission in this world

6.) Whenever you ignore a strong intuitive or gut feeling that’s trying to tell you something, you’ll tend to regret it later on.

7.) You rely on your intuition when making career-based decisions. This causes confusion among your co-workers as you always make the right decisions even with incomplete facts.

8.) You’re a creative person, and you have dreams of brilliant ideas for your art/plans/designs which you often execute to much success.

9.) You often feel worried/excited before something bad/good happens without prior knowledge that this incident was going to happen.

10.) You have had creative ideas for art/books/writing come to you from seemingly nowhere which you’ve acted on and gave you tremendous success.

11.) You can feel when a loved one is hurting, even if you don’t know yet that they are in pain.

12.) Your friends often describe you as “creative”.

13.) You often make major decisions against the advice of “experts” or your loved ones based on what you’ve “sensed”, which always worked out perfectly for you.

14.) You immediately know when someone is lying to you or telling the truth.

15.) You’ve had prior knowledge of a disaster, negative event, illness, or death that later came to pass.

16.) Whenever you feel confused about a direction you need to take or you need to make a big decision in life, you meditate, knowing that the right answers will come to you quickly through this.

17.) You feel a strong sense of connection with people you’ve never met or places you’ve never been to.

18.) You are a highly empathetic person and often ‘take on’ the feelings of those around you, whether you want to or not.

19.) You’ve had a premonition that saved you from danger.

20.) When lost, you’ve found the right path back or direction by using your intuition.

Intuition falls into 4 categories. While most of us are functioning at Level 1 or 2, we all have the ability to function at the highest level (Level 4). Our goal as human beings is to continuously grow from Level 1 to Level 4.

You score 20-30. Level 1 – Warning System Intuition:

At this Level, your intuition will usually warn you when your life is at stake.

Let’s take the September 11th incident as an example. On this particular day, an unusually high number of people have claimed that they experienced dread going to work at the World Trade Centre.

Other examples include those who’ve experienced overwhelming feelings of dread just before making a journey. If you take a look at the results of the intuition contest on our blog post, you’ll see that 60-70% of all stories were at Level 1 – Warning System Intuition. This is where most people’s intuition stand.

While intuition is something we’re all are born with, many people, including yourself, do not get the chance to develop it. Your intuition has saved you from emergency situations, but you generally do not listen to your ‘gut feelings’ which you’re paying dearly for.

Don’t worry though, it’s never too late to start training and growing your intuitive abilities. If you do, you’re in for some amazing insights and a whole new level of well-being.

You score 30-40. Level 2 – Social Intuition:

Good Vibes

You mainly use your intuition to tap into the feelings of those around you and those whom you have close relationships with. You are a highly empathetic person and can easily understand those around you.

People at this Level have been known to finish the sentences of those they’re close to, sense danger that’s approaching them like a mother senses danger for her child and are even affected by the moods of their spouses or those close to them.

This Level intuition is common in close groups, but you are more attune to it than others. Being on this Level is greatly beneficial for leaders, families and those in close relationships.

While you use your intuition to relate to those around you, you may also be ignoring it within other areas of your life. You have to keep training and enhancing your intuition skills if you want to experience the great benefits that comes with it. If you keep ignoring these ‘gut feelings’ then they will no longer happen.

However, it’s not too late to get back in touch with your intuition. With a little practice and training you’ll be able to hear and trust that “little voice” inside your head in no time and progress in other aspects of your life, such as your career, life purpose, and wealth.

You score 40-50. Level 3 – Creative Intuition:

what is intuitive creating? day 6 of FLOW: 30 Day Journal Project here: http://www.lisasonora.com/blog/what-is-intuitive-creating/

Thomas Edison once said, “Ideas come from space”.
Many scientists and investors get their ideas and knowledge from having Level 3 intuition.

Look at the case of Elias Howe, the inventor of the sewing machine. He was struggling for years to come up with the design for the sewing machine needle. One night he had a dream where he was surrounded by cannibals who were holding spears with holes in them. This gave him the idea that the thread hole for the sewing needle had to be at the tip of needle and not at the top. That was how the sewing machine was invented.

History is filled with countless stories of how Creative Intuition has aided in the creation of inventions, art, and designs. Even businesses have grown and flourished because of intuition.

As a Level 3 Intuitive, you are very attuned to your feelings as well as the world around you, which is an amazing skill. Being able to access your intuitive knowledge has helped not only you, but those around you get ahead in life as well.

You most likely use your intuition to not only improve on your relationships, but also your career where you use intuition to creatively solve problems, make the right business decisions or create beautiful art, music or design.

You are most likely a very creative person who is successful in business or the arts.

You score 50-60. Level 4 – Higher Purpose Intuition:

Clive Barker has a high Enthusiasm value. #VoiceValues #Brand Voice | commentary via The Voice Bureau at AbbyKerr.com

This is the most useful and the most amazing level of intuition. At this level, your subconscious mind works with you and your intuition guides you to move towards your life purpose.

As a Level 4 intuitive, you already know that you should never doubt your inner voice, which guides you through all areas of your life. You know the importance of honing and fine-tuning your intuitive skills and listening to your inner voice. You meditate daily, which helps you make all important decisions in your life instantly – from love to business to health.

You always listen to your intuition which is the reason why you are where you are today. You know that what your are doing now is your divine purpose. By finding your life purpose, you fully contribute to the betterment of society. Your subconscious mind gives you momentum and the push you need to help you complete your life purpose. You are a highly intuitive being that is making a maximum impact onto the world.

The Painful Lifestyle Of A Super Sensitive

What to do when your high intuition is a right pain in the ass!

This post is about a recent painful experience regarding my instincts or intuition.

My high intuition has caused me great problems socially and if you read on you won’t be surprised… I’m sure it’s the main reason I isolate and avoid meeting new people.

This experience below is not uncommon for me and as I get older or maybe healthier my instincts are getting stronger and clearer. This is hard to explain but sometimes I meet people and I just know their story – I know what happened, and I often know the very thing they are trying to hide even from themselves.. their shadow aspect..

Often If I don’t see their story from this life, I’ll see their story from a past life perspective.

Now I don’t experience this with everyone, just some people and some I get loads of info and others a little.

I believe a lot of being able to see these things has to do with love. The people I see things in generally have healing challenges to face or overcome..  and as I have a great deal of love and empathy for people who are suffering in some form, love seems to cause me to blend with them and understand their situation on a soul and emotional level – a level where I can see and feel what they have been through..

Sometimes I see things out of fear – I think when I’m being hypervigilant due to fear  – I ‘consciously look’ for my own safety … maybe due to this, I stop going with the flow and it becomes maladaptive and causes me problems.. I’m not sure .. or maybe sometimes and with certain people I just need to be careful.

This last painful experience taught me something … and I have now decided that although I trust my instincts and my visions, I need to ‘use my head’, stop and think rather than be instantly reactive regarding what I perceive intuitively.

I need to be a little more objective rather than subjective and take note when I am working from fear rather than love.

It’s not fun being highly intuitive, it’s annoying, very often it’s emotionally painful and as it is super stressful I eat only an alkaline diet in order to stay well. It has caused me major problems to understand myself and to make friends and my life would be a whole lot easier without it. I wish I could turn my radar off but it seems to be something I receive on a subconscious level.

It’s know it’s got to be maladaptive if it causes me to spend my life alone. So I guess I am going to have to learn how to effectively handle it, ignore it or somehow put it to good use..

So here’s what happened..

A few months ago I joined a local ‘social group’ because for the first time I was feeling very lonely and I really felt the need to connect with people, make friends and after 5 years alone, I really felt I was ready for love (if it happened) so I thought I’d start by getting out and meeting some new people. Up until this point I was comfortable being alone and recovering my health.

When I first arrived at the group one particular member, a male stood out to me and I intuitively ‘knew’ I would get to know him better. Truth be known I had a flash vision that showed us as potential lovers (weird right.. who needs that when you first meet someone. (.. no wonder I stay at home)    :o(

* A flash vision is not something I imagine or dream up, it is a visual image that pops into my head usually representing ‘the past’ or ‘the potential future”.

During the meetings we barely spoke to each other, and naturally I felt kind of awkward around him the 3 times I saw him, and then out of the blue he privately messaged me to meet him for a coffee.

I was VERY surprised when I received a private message, I never even knew he could access me privately. It was pretty weird and pretty ballsy of him to be honest… but on another level I somewhat expected some sort of connection to eventuate due to what I had perceived.

Anyway we planned to meet up in about a week’s time… I wish it had been the next day as a week was a looong time to wait..

How my week went prior to our catch up…

First up I felt fine – actually really excited! Then as the days went on I started feeling sick with anxiety. Then I stopped sleeping well and became restless. I started to wonder why he messaged me? Maybe he was simply looking for a friendship, or…maybe he was interested in me… that felt weird as he seemed a lot younger than me (he looked around early to mid 30s..) I am 12 to 15 years older..

I started getting really nervous about this, and as you imagine my ‘flash vision’ certainly didn’t help things..

I had been sleeping perfectly fine but now I was restless and waking on and off in the night with my intuition giving me insight..

Admittedly I had read everyone’s introduction to the group and the only thing I knew about him was that he had suffered from depression starting in his late teens and hadn’t been functioning well for many years.

My insight/ dreams /visions showed me this .. basically the cause of his depression.

At 19 someone very close to him died tragically. It was a woman and he had loved her very much. It was his first love but their relationship was hush hush – no-one knew they had an intimate relationship. (not sure why…  I didn’t see but maybe it was an affair???)

One afternoon they had a terrible fight and he said something very cruel to her – quite cutting. He did love her deeply but the relationship was too intense for him and his emotional maturity levels, he couldn’t handle all the secrecy and drama. It was unhealthy, and in the spare of the moment he spoke out in frustration and anger and then split up with her.

Anyway, heartbroken and distraught she threatened to kill herself. He really didn’t take much notice of what she was saying, or did he realize just how fragile she was..

Well, on the way home distraught she crashed her car at full speed into a tree.

Her death was considered a strange but completely random accident to everyone… (I’m not sure if it was suicide, or really an accident because she was driving fast at the time and being reckless because she was so upset..)

As no-one even knew that they were lovers, he never mentioned to a soul what happened, and to this day he has still never aired it to a soul, not a counsellor, not a friend.. really he has never let it off his chest..

On a soul level what I saw was that he still carries the grief with him to this day … and for many years, it has been the source of his depression and a source of underlying self punishment and guilt.

He also carries the love he had/ has for her and is still psychically attached to her spirit. This continues to hold them. Being ‘bound’ to another spiritually/ psychically is the same as being bound physically. Because of this he has never had a relationship with a woman since, and until he forgives himself and sets her free.. he will never find love or peace of spirit on earth. His deep and underlying feeling of guilt and self punishment is causing him to spend his life alone.

He is not consciously aware that this is the source of his depression.. because he doesn’t understand just how deeply the spirit can be affected. He has also attempted to bury it ‘logically’ … and deeply because to him it is just something that happened a long time ago. He is not aware of the attachment.

So what happened when I met him

Now to be honest – I had not purposely asked for this information but as I did feel threatened by the thought of meeting him, I think I subconsciously blended somehow with his energy – maybe to see if I was safe (hypervigilance).. I’m not sure..

I wonder if this is maladaptive hypervigilance?- can’t I just make a friend without going that deep – are my fears so great that I scan someone that deeply or is this just my healer, visionary and spiritual guide simply doing their job.. well I tell you it’s a tough and stressful job!!

Anyway I had not got quite all the story or puzzle pieces together by the time I met him, but I did have a few. I did know a woman he had greatly loved had died around the time he got depressed and I knew he carried guilt surrounding her death (I knew it was a car accident) and that this was the cause of his depression.

The rest came on meeting him and talking to him …

To be continued..
